More Than a Hobby
Dan's Sweet Pickins grew out of a lifelong love of collecting. I started collecting trading cards in the late 1980s and comic books in the early 1990s. Some of my best childhood memories are going to comic conventions and card shows with my father, and over the years that passion became a family tradition.
I still like to keep things old school. For me, collecting isn't just about what something is worth — it's about the stories, the memories, the hunt, and the people you meet along the way. Seeing familiar faces and repeat customers is one of the best parts of doing this. Now my kids are learning and enjoying the hobby alongside me, carrying our family tradition into a third generation. This is more than a hobby to me. It's a way of life, and I love it.
